Your bilingual kindergarten for the district of Lörrach

Curiosity is the fuel for research, discovery and learning. 

Children have a natural, intuitive spirit of research with which they love to try out, explore and question things. With the International School Lörrach, a bilingual kindergarten, we would like to offer children this opportunity to learn through discovery. Since children seem to learn languages on the side, especially at a young age, we want to Use this special time span and give children the opportunity to learn German and English in a carefree and informal way. 

The basis of our kindergarten is the Christian image of man and its core that every person with his skills and abilities is valuable and accepted. With the kindergarten we want to create a place where children feel safe - where children ask at the weekend when they can finally go back to kindergarten. 

We encourage the children's natural urge to learn and strengthen their joy of learning and their self-confidence in dealing with new experiences. The focus is on discovering, designing and experiencing the children. 

This discovering, child-oriented learning takes place in a protected setting in predetermined units of the employees, who keep an eye on the important content of the topics and prepare these relationships in a way that is appropriate for children and their age. In addition to academic, artistic and emotional aspects of learning, we promote the international aspect of our school, we promote respect for other people and cultures. We want children to have the opportunity to identify relationships and to find solutions for difficulties and problems independently.

Bilingualism

Since children learn language particularly easily and playfully, especially at a young age, we decided to include the languages German and English in our concept and to shape the everyday life of kindergarten from bilingualism. With our bilingual kindergarten we create the ideal conditions. The children learn the English and German language in a playful manner and are therefore best equipped for their future. The international and interdisciplinary curriculum (PYP) goes hand in hand with this.
